Finances

This service handles:

The keeping of the municipal accounts, the drafting of the municipal budget, budgetary modifications, established entitlements and outgoings;

‘Loan’ files;

Municipal taxes (settlements – taxes, enlistment, claims); 

Subsidies to the various associations;

Budgets and accounts of the Church Fabrics and the CPAS (verification).

Collection

The tax collector, Yves Daems, is responsible for the Municipality’s collection and expenditure. He is the accountant and the cashier of the Municipality and is empowered to take judicial proceedings for the recovery of unpaid municipal taxes.
