Pre-school children

Part of a public service’s task is to satisfy the needs of the population, even (and particularly) when it comes to activities which do not generate any profit but which reflect a genuine need.

The municipal authorities respond to these needs by the provision of the crèche, the ‘maison communale d’accueil de l’enfance’, the pre-kindergarten, the home-based child-minders (trained and supervised childcare professionals) and the day nursery facilities.

The setting is a focus for life and education. Our aim is the welfare of the children and the fulfilment of their potential, in an environment appropriate to their age, surrounded by professionals and with the collaboration of the parents.

All these facilities are accredited by ONE, the office for childbirth and infancy.

How to register your child

Applications are handled centrally by the Pre-school Children service. Parents wishing to register their child should contact the service on 02/352.99.26, only on Fridays between the hours of 8.30 am and 12 noon, and 2.30 pm and 4.30 pm.

The Pre-school Children service will provide you with all the additional information you may wish with regard to the operation and specific features of the structure.

Financial participation
arents’ financial participation is calculated in line with a scale devised by ONE, depending on their net income and how many days per week the child attends the facility. In the case of the day nursery, an hourly rate applies for children registered on an irregular basis.

Tax deduction
The service will issue a tax certificate for every sum paid.

Medical surveillance
Preventive medical surveillance is provided by an ONE-recognised doctor, either at the facility itself or at a child welfare centre.
