The waxworks museum

Opposite the rotunda of the Panorama, on the ground floor of the historic Hôtel du Musée, built by quartermaster sergeant Cotton in 1818, this museum displays all the main protagonists in the battle, in the form of waxworks made by the artists of the Musée Grévin in Paris in 1949.
Emperor Napoleon I, the Duke of Wellington, field-marshal Blücher, the prince of Orange, Cambronne, Ney, Bertrand, Drouot, Soult and other brothers in arms, all astonishingly lifelike and dressed in their sumptuous uniforms, are camped in a series of faithfully reconstructed tableaux.

Numerous authentic documents and eye-witness reports as well as excavated items are also on display.
